What road began in what is now eastern Tennessee and ended in what became Louisville, Kentucky?

The Cumberland Gap is a narrow pass in the low-lying ridge within the Appalachian mountains. It was a key passageway as it served as the primary pathway for settlers wandering to the trans-Appalachia area. It is currently part of the Cumberland Gap National Park.
