In your own words describe how the chain reaction of events led to a worldwide war in the summer 1914.

The immediate purpose of worldwide war I that made the aforementioned objects come into play (alliances, imperialism, militarism, nationalism) become the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria-Hungary. In June 1914, a Serbian-nationalist terrorist institution called the Black Hand despatched businesses to assassinate the Archduke.
