After the year of 1945, thus after the World War II, there were lot of changes in the Pacific Rim, Japan, and China. Some of those changes were the social changes, as well as some aspects of the culture.

The women benefited a lot after 1945. The reason for that was the large scale Westernization of this parts of the world, where the women's rights and abilities started to be recognized and appreciated.

Until this year, the role of the women in this parts of the world was largely to keep things in order in the household, take care of the children, and in general were only allowed to participate in agricultural work.

This all changed, and the women gained equal status as the men in most of this areas. That enabled the women to be more independent, to think for themselves, to compete on the labor market, and to be able to educate themselves.
