    The three major problems facing the Union after the Civil War were the restoration of the Union, transformation of southern society, and slavery.

    Explanation:

    Transformation of southern society was the main problem after civil war which could be the most difficult one to solve. The reason was that the people of southern states was not ready to live without slaves. They wanted to take slaves but the new law was prohibited the people to make slaves so the transformation of their lifestyle was very difficult and takes time to transformed.
