What reasons did lincoln give for his hatred of the spread of slavery

    Answer: Some reasons that lincoln gave for his hatred on slavery was that he did believe that slavery was morally wrong but because slavery was sanctioned as the highest law in the land, he gave a speech declaring that he didn't really know what could be done to stop slavery.
