The English Colonist governance indicated more power on the federal government than state leadership with was harsh to the Americans. This type of governance made the Americans to believe that the best federal government should have less powers and officials with limited authority. The idea led to the formation of the articles of confederation that granted more power to the states and formed a weak central government due to the fear of the type of governance that was experienced under the leadership of British. However, this government structure led to unbidding states that couldnot form a strong nation, thus the Shays rebellion was initiated.
