Spanish colonized first, colonized the South of English colonies, their goal was conquest and plunder, and they exploited Indians for labor. French colonized to the North and West of English colonies, they traded with the Indians, and they has smaller colonies compared to the Spanish and English. Both French and Spanish colonies had Catholic immigrant men (no women) and were heavily controlled by kings back home. Neither had representative assemblies.
