Why was smallpox devastating to the Native populations of the Americas? A. The native people had no immunity to the disease. B. Rats carrying smallpox were passengers on explorers' ships. C. There wasn't proper sanitation, so it was spread quickly. D. The medicine to cure it wasn't available in the Americas.
