    It was the battle of the Ardennes; The army of Nazi Germany, had its last attempt of offensive against the allies of the continental part of Europe, sending approximately 300,000 soldiers to the attack. This attack begins on December 16, 1944. In this attempt, the soldiers of the allies were taken by surprise. However, the German exercise had to stop its attack in response to the request of General Mc Auliffe.
