    Between 1820 and 1850, some Americans discriminated against Irish immigrants because the Irish were mostly Catholic.

    A Few other reasons the Irish were discriminated was because they considered Irish to be a different race blamed for rising crime, poverty, and disease. worked for little money which forced wages lower. celebrated Sabbath with alcohol blamed for alcoholism in America.
