Explain the number which was created and what field it represents advances in.

The number is Zero. It was created by a mix of ancient people such as Babylonians, Hindu and Mayan. It's considered a huge advance in the Mathematics field because it represents "the nothing", a notion of calculation that hadn't any sign to represent. Without it, mankind could never reach complex Math operations that ended on the main science advances in our Era. Also maybe never could create the atom energy, the computer or even reach the moon.
