Why did many southern states dislike Abraham Lincoln so much?

    Southern States took offense at Abraham Lincoln's opposition to slavery.

    And so, they seceded.

    The South seceded over the issue of slavery.

    Some may say that they did so because of "state's right"

    To be clear, they are referring to a State's right to allow slavery.
