This is a prompt for an essay and I just need a thesis statement to work off of

Because of the industrial revolution in both England and the United States, workers suffered appalling working conditions that sheltered capitalism without control. They stopped being self-employed and went to work for an employer, in the same factory, under very precarious working conditions. Women and children made up a good part of the labor force at the time of the Industrial Revolution. Wages were too low and too tight to meet the basic needs of workers. Child labor was much lower paid, as was that of women, who received around half of the men's wages.
