What was the significance of the bill of rights when It was first adopted, and why does it remain important today?

    Gave crucial rights to the people of the past and the present, and will continue to give rights to the people of future generations. Freedom of Speech, press, assembly, and the right not to incriminate yourself all come from the bill of rights.
