    Answer

    A. Topography

    Explanation

Topography of an area in form of mountain ranges can affect wind movement thus influencing precipitation. Winds that carry moistured-laden air can be intercepted by mountain ranges causing light precipitation in the area. Places in the leeward sides of mountain ranges experience warm sinking air from compression causing clouds to evaporate and dry conditions to be experienced.
