    Immediately after removing Saddam Hussein from power, general elections were conducted in Iraq and all the institutions established and run by Saddam Hussein were abolished.

    Explanation:

    Saddam Hussein acted as the totalitarian dictatorial President of Iraq who during his regime that lasted from 1979 to 2003 became infamous for his deeds of torture and execution of political opponents. It was only after Saddam Hussein was captured by the US military troops, elections took place in Iraq to establish a federal government.
