    The area is Caribbean Islands

The Caribbean island refers to the large archipelago located in the Caribbean sea. It was one of the areas that the Spanish established their first oversea colony. However the native Indians who were to provide labor sharply declined in population as a result of diseases. It resulted to the shipping of slaves from Africa, and introduction of new crops.
