    1. The Bantu Authorities Act

1951, the Bantu Authorities Act. The idea was that black Africans would be citizens of the homeland, losing their citizenship in South Africa and any right of involvement with the South African Parliament.

The Population Registration Act was one of the core laws that instituted the Apartheid system in South Africa. It was enforced in 1950 and it mandated that every person in the country had to be classified according to their physical and cultural characteristics and traits in different groups (black, white or coloured). Each racial group would have different oportunities and treatment from the authorities, thus it granted less rights to black South Africans than those who were white.

The Prohibition of mixed Marriages Act and The Public Safety Act also were instruments of the racist Southafrican government and allowed it to enforce the Apartheid System.
