Eleanor Roosevelt participated in the drafting of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and was the first president of the Commission on Human Rights of the United Nations.

    Explanation:

Eleanor Roosevelt was an American activist and first lady. From 1933 to 1945, in her role of First lady, she supported and promoted the choices and the political line of her husband, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, known as the New Deal.

She played an important role in the process of creating the United Nations, by leading the commission that outlined and approved the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. President Harry Truman celebrated it with the nickname First Lady of the World in honor of his efforts to defend human rights. She also did a lot for the rights of the African American communities and in this way her husband obtained many votes from the latter.
