The Boston Tea Party is a true representation of the political feelings of Americans during the early parts of the revolution. During this time, the American colonist sentiment was "no taxation without representation." This phrase showed that the American colonists were unhappy with the fact that taxes were being put on goods they consume daily without their consent or voice.

This is why colonists boarded British ships and destroy millions of dollars worth of tea. In this action, the American colonists destroy nothing but the tea. This shows that the anger colonists have at this time is not necessarily against the British as a whole. Rather, it represents their frustration with taxes that are put on commodities they enjoy without having a representative in the English parliament.
