There were major inventions like the Railroads, they facilitated international trade and allowed people to sell what they had. But just as it had positive effects, it also had negative effects. Factories polluted the air and water. Workers had to work long hours and often through the night in poor conditions. Due to poor sanitation and poor hygiene practices, diseases became to spread and people started to get sick.
