    According to Siddhartha Gautama, to achieve salvation one needs to follow the Eightfold Path which consists of eight practices which as - right view, right resolve, right speech, right conduct, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, and right samadhi. One must also follow the four noble truths - The truth of suffering, The truth of the origin of suffering, The truth of the cessation of suffering, The truth of the path to the cessation of suffering.
