    The main factor that contributed to the withdrawal of Colonel Fannin was the letter that General Sam Houston sent to Him.

    Explanation:

    In 1836, occurred a battle which had different names but the principal was the "battle of Coleto". In this battle, Fannin Faced the General of the Mexican army whose name was Jose De Urrea. Simultaneously, there was another battle in which the Texian troops lost and because of this, the general Sam Houston sent a letter to Fannin and summoned all the Texian troops in Victoria.
