Explain why principal of checks and balances as it relates to the power of the president. Provide one example to support your explanation.

    The concept of checks and balances ensures that no one branch becomes too powerful and ensures that all branches have close to equal power to protect the liberty of the people.

    A great example of this is that the President can nominate Judges but the Senate has to approve them. This ensures that there is a check on who the President might want to approve.
