Why did some people oppose woman's right to vote

Some men thought women. We're inferior. They thought women could not think out matters calmly. Some simply didn't want change.

because they said that the majority of women did not want the right to vote, and because they believed that the men in their lives accurately represented the political will of women around the United States.
