List three ways in which the new state governments remained quite similar to the way they were governed as colonies. List three ways in which the new state governments change, often altering old power balances.

    1. The main source of employment was agriculture.

    Before and after the colonies, for the people in the States working in the fields was still the principal way of making a living.

    2. People didn't have a main role in politics.

    Other think that didn't change was the fact that the common people wasn't involved in the desicion making process towards building the coutry.

    3. People were still taxed by the government.

    One of the things that the farmers fuoght for was the fact that they were being heavily taxed by the British empire, after the independance, to form a new country they needed money, and the only way a country can make money it's taxing its people.
