    The Homestead Strike was a strike that happened on the Carnegie Steel Company by the Amalgamated Association of Iron and Steel Workers. The Company stepped up production demands and demanded that the workers accepted the new conditions if they did not accept it, they were locked out of the plant. All workers voted to join the strike, soon they were ten thousand strikers and the company could not fight against them.

    The sheriff asked for the Governor for support and soon 6 thousand militia arrived and ended the strike.
