In response to the New Deal, what does the creation of a welfare state say about the changing priorities of the United States? Does this principle still hold today? Give examples to support your answer

    In the Welfare State, it showed the US had set new goals to focus on providing economic opportunities during recession/Depression. This is still in use today.
