    Many Texans that lived in that area of Mexico believed they were being mistreated by the laws being put upon them by then President of Mexico Santa Anna

    Explanation: Most of the Texans were Americans that immigrated from Amercia. Furthermore, they disliked the merging of Coahuilla and Tejas (Texas) into Coahuilla y Tejas becuase it lowered there representation in the Mexican Government.
