Why is it important to have both sacred scripture and sacred tradition? Why should we trust the magisterium's interpretation? How would you explain this to someone who does not believe in the authority of the magisterium? What examples could you give them to show the importance of one clear interpretation?

Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition have much in common. Besides forming the content of Divine Revelation, they form what we call a single Sacred Deposit of Faith. It is called sacred because it comes from God ... These two together, Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition form this single deposit.
