    As the name indicates, the North American Free Trade Agreement (or NAFTA for short), was designed with the intent to encourage the economic growth of the three countries involved, promoting fair competition, job growth and an increase in imports.

    This was done by eliminating almost all tariffs and taxes involved on imports and exports between Mexico, the United States and Canada.
