This greatest buccaneer Captain of all cost Henry Morgan. He started out as a thief and later turned into the privateer. Morgan unmercifully raided Spanish fleet and settlements. He held the Spaniards busy fighting their coasts that they had small experience to fight Jamaica. Morgan was knighted by queen Charles II of England and was nominated deputy governor of island at 1673. Morgan perished at 1688. Enslaved Africans filled the enormous labor force needed for this purpose. The settlers were impressed with the presentation and strength of these Africans, also as the fact that African labor was cheaper and more likely. They proceeded to send Africans West Indies to be traded to planters who pushed them to focus on bread plantations.
