The correct answer is - Democratic change leading to a new nation.

With the economic sanctions the United States are trying to bring the country on a verge of economic collapse, which will trigger revolt and desire for change among the people of this East Asian country. Even though the United States have been using this tactic lots of times, on lots of countries, in the past decades, and in general it has worked, it doesn't seem to be the same case with North Korea. It will be extremely hard to force a change into this country in this way because no matter the Us sanctions on it, it is country that has close relations and free trade with China and Russia, which makes it relatively easy for North Korea to not feel any significant effect from the sanctions.
