What type of pen was used to sign the declaration of independence

    The most obvious answer is a quill pen that was a goose feather. The design of pens didn't advance very much from ancient times to the time Jefferson wrote the Declaration. We have great pens at our disposal, but quills are still used by Calligraphers and Scribes.
