How did the agricultural revolution contribute to the start of the indusrustrial revolution

The agricultural revolution led to the industrial revolution as the need for more efficient ways of producing things came about. For example; cotton harvesting and clothes. Back in the day, after cotton was harvested, the fibers needed to be separated from its seeds. By hand, this was a long and extremely inefficient practice. When the cotton gin was invented, it made this process so much easier and efficient. Instead of separating cotton from its seeds manually, you could now put it in a little press several bunches at a time and quickly get clean cotton to make clothes.

This is only one example, and as more inventions came about, production soon became faster and easier. Through the years, new products were invented, especially for the agricultural world. Today, we don't harvest cotton by hand anymore, but with ginormous harvesters that can tackle fields with a twenty-foot wide header!

The Agricultural Revolution of the 18th century paved the way for the Industrial Revolution in Britain. New farming techniques and improved livestock breeding led to amplified food production. This allowed a spike in population and increased health. The new farming techniques also led to an enclosure movement.
