Did George Washington lead the army to fight against England before being chosen as president

    George Washington was 22 when he lead an army and defeated a french reconnaissance part in Southwestern Pennsylvania. This was in 1754, before he became president. It was also the first battle of tje french and indian war, also known as the seven years war.
