What was a result of the 1712 new york slave revolt?

The Slave Revolt that happened in the night of 6th April 1712 in New York was crushed by the militia units from Westchester and Lower New York. About 70 slaves were jailed and among them more than 40 were hanged.

The revolt resulted in the passage of even tougher slave laws by the New York state legislature. They were not permitted to assemble in groups of more than three people, they were prohibited to carry fire-arms, freedom of slaves became more difficult as slave-owner was supposed to pay 200 pounds per slave, the then much higher cost than the slave. Marriages between slaves was also banned. Though we see severe slave codes after the revolt but these codes never fully succeeding in stopping blacks, free and enslaved from congregating socially and it was this social energy that led to second Slave Revolt in 1741.
