What advantages and disadvantages did the american rebels and the british each possess as the war began? What did each side do to mobilize its resources most effectively?

    As the war begun, The Americans had the advantage as firstly, the Americans were fighting for a cause they believed in that is they were fighting for their freedom while the British soldiers were fighting because it was their job. Another advantage was that the Americans were fighting on their own ground and knew the terrain, roads, mountain passes, and swamp lands of the colonies. The disadvantages were, they were dis - organized, not unified. They had no money and each state had their own currency.

    Advantages to Britishers were that they had a professional army, they had Hessian and Indians to fight, they had money while the disadvantages were - they did not know the land, the Britishers were sympathetic towards Americans, they also had to also take care of Ireland.
