What were the qualifications for a person to vote in 1842

    The qualifications were the following:

    - Sex: the voter had to be Male. (Women were not allowed to vote at that time)

    - Age: the voter had to be 21 years old of older.

    - Nationality: the voter had to a native person.

    - Property: the voter had to have a property of a certain value.
