What was the relationship between the colonist and the parliament back in the British empire

    The relationship between the two is negative. More specifically full of hatred from the colonists side for being exploited through laws set up by the parliament to benefit them (parliament) and the King.

    For example, after the unsuccessfully "French And Indian War" Britan was in debt from War. The parliament then collected taxes (money) from the colonists even though the colonists never wanted to start a War with the others.
