The right answer is Alcatraz Island.

On the side of other several movements during the 60s, the Native Americans also emerged as a political force. After an unsuccessful attempt of a federal aid, via federal anti-poverty-program, some Indian militants decided to protest. They decided to create the American Indian Movement (AIM) in 1963 to promote "red power", one of their actions was the occupation of Alcatraz Island in San Francisco Bay in 1969, claiming the site "by right of discovery."
