The Western settlers need loans from banks to start a new beginning through ranching and farming.

    Explanation:

The western cattlemen found enormous land to built ranches. Various groups of people moved to the West after the Civil War when the government issued the Homestead Act of 1862. Under this Act, land in the West was opened for thousands of Americans to settle there. People started to move to the West because of population growth in the eastern states. The availability of fertile land in the West drove the white Americans to develop ranch and farm. Some of the settlers began to take loans from banks to buy land and cattle.
