People had thought that all the good inventions had already been invented, by inventing the light bulb this pushed people into a spree of inventions and patenting. During the industrial revolution many people were having sucess in inventions and wanted to move to the city to get rich. The more inventions that were created the more mass production there would be, which means the more jobs would be created, more housing, and more immigrants would come over.
