    Although the central purpose of the Crusades was to get the charge of Jerusalem off from the Muslims, there were several causes why European knights and others were prepared to go and confront a combat in a different land.

    Effects of the Crusades.

    Although the crusades abandoned to seize Jerusalem, they had numerous significant influences on Western Europe.

    They expanded the jurisdiction of the king. Seldom nobles perished in the fight without devising a successor in which fact the king got their property. Kings refused taxes to fund for the crusades.
