The relationship between settlers and Native Americans became even worse after the Homestead Act

    Explanation:

The Homestead Act gave millions of acres of free land to new settlers in the far flung areas of the country. This contributed towards more chances of conflict between settlers and the native American tribes.

This land was mostly given for sustenance farming and agriculture to new settlers. This meant that the native Americans lost their source of food and a way of life.

As more and more settlers began to settle new new plains, they entrenchment tribal customers and way of life.
