The correct answer is: to bring an end to segregation in Alabamy, Georgia.

The Alabamy Movement (1961-1962) was the first mass movement in the modern civil rights era. Its goal was to desegregate (end racial separation) in Georgia. The movement drew attention to the brutally enforced racial segregation practices in the state and it resulted in jailing more than 1,000 African Americans in Alabamy and its surroundings.

Although the Movement failed on accomplishing its goal, its importance is significant. Martin Luther King Jr. was drawn into it and it was a beneficial lesson in strategy and tactics for the leaders of the Civil Rights Movements later on.
