How the US government with the Native Americans land and culture

The relationship between Native Americans and the United States government was not a good one to begin with. European settlers whose children would later become the first Americans killed the Native Americans and forced the off a land that was righfully theirs. The United States government also allowed the Trail of Tears to occur, which was the brutal forced movement of Native Americans to Oklahoma. Today, the United States government better respects the Natives, but there land keeps shrinking.
