The term Cold War is used for the period when the United States and the Soviet Union were having constant tensions between them, resulting in lot of wars and revolutions around the world, sponsored by them, as well as constant military threats to one another.

In this period, both of these countries tried to gain as much allies as possible, spread out their political and economic interests as much as possible, as well as military and technological superiority. This resulted in numerous revolutions and wars, as well as setting boundaries across the world.

In Asia it was Vietnamese War, were the north was supported by the Soviets, and the south by the Americans, and as always the ordinary, innocent people suffered the most.
