    The correct answer is B.

On August 6, 1945, the United States dropped an atomic bomb on the city of Hiroshima. It was a uranium gun-type bomb known under the name of 'Little Boy'. The bomb killed between 90,000 and 166,000 people, in the explosion itself and in the aftermath. The city of Hiroshima estimated that approximately 237,00 people were killed directly and indirectly by the bomb's effects (burns, cancer, radiation sickness).

Three days after Hiroshima, another bomb was dropped on the city of Nagasaki. It was a plutonium device known as 'Fat Man'. An estimated 40,000 to 75,000 died in the explosion, while the total of casualties might have reached 80,000.
