    Explanation:

    Boston formed the first Committee of Correspondence in 1764. This committee was formed to address some major issues at the time--Britain had been making stricter laws for taxing the colonists and restricting what they could import and export. Britain had also prohibited colonists from printing their own money. The first committee members wrote letters to the other colonies and tried to convince them to unite against Britain.
